Are you an aspiring architect who is passionate about promoting a more positive future through the built environment? If so, we have some exciting news for you. The RIBA AHR Scholarship is now open for applications.
The scholarship, worth £7,000, will provide support to Part 2 students from low-income households who have demonstrated a commitment to their studies and to the profession.
Its aim is to address a lack of inclusivity at Part 2 stage of the professional qualification in architecture by supporting talented students who might struggle to cover the costs associated with their course.
Also included in the scholarship is:
- One to one mentoring
- A four-week paid work placement at one of our UK offices
- Support from a diverse and talented team
- Industry connections
- Technical resources
- Valuable insight into our award-winning practice
As we embark on this exciting journey to uncover the next emerging talent, we reflect back to our previous winners, 2023 recipient Nuala Moya Durkin and 2022 recipient Reem Taha Hajj Ahmad and their scholarship experiences.
Leading the RIBA AHR Scholarship is director Gary Overton who champions the diverse talent across AHR and is passionate about inspiring young people as they embark on their career in the profession.
The closing date for applications for this year’s RIBA AHR Scholarship is Friday 14 June 2024.
If you’d like some more information on the application process, you can visit the RIBA website here.
