As 2025 draws to a close, we’re looking back on a year of meaningful impact from our architecture and building consultancy teams across the UK.

From award-winning design and resilient estate strategies to retrofit, safety, masterplanning and community-focused projects, this has been a year shaped by collaboration, innovation and purpose.

We’re proud to share some of the moments that defined 2025 – project milestones, framework appointments, knowledge sharing, sustainability leadership and the fantastic people we’ve worked alongside. Together these achievements reflect our commitment to creating sustainable, inclusive and future-ready places.

Scroll on for a look back at a standout year.

A year of impact across all our services

Across our architecture and building consultancy teams we’ve supported clients across residential, education, healthcare, transport, office and workplace, sport, leisure and hospitality, technology and industrial, life sciences and mixed use regeneration.

Together we’ve delivered:

  • Innovative architectural design for new builds, refurbishments, masterplanning and estate optimisation including interior design and landscape design
  • Building surveying expertise, including condition surveys, technical due diligence and asset management
  • Retrofit and decarbonisation strategies helping organisations cut carbon and improve energy performance
  • Building safety, compliance and fire remediation across diverse property portfolios
  • Geomatics consultancy continuing to support precise site data and digital modelling with advancements in spatial data and drone surveying

Our joined-up approach, made possible by the collaboration and insight of our clients, enables us to support the full lifecycle of a building, from strategy and planning through design, delivery, occupation and long-term management.

We’re delighted to share the reflections that emerged from our shared work in 2025.

Strengthening our presence across public sector frameworks

This year also saw strong progress in how clients can appoint us, with successful bids across major public sector frameworks that support both our architectural and building consultancy services.

From construction consultancy and building safety to retrofit, decarbonisation, surveying and multidisciplinary design, these appointments make it easier for organisations to access our expertise quickly and compliantly.

Our continued success across national and regional frameworks reflects the trust placed in our teams and the breadth of services we provide across the full lifecycle of the built environment:

We also continued to develop our relationships with organisations such as LNER and FirstGroup, supporting ongoing programmes of work and strengthening the partnerships that underpin long-term value.

As a leading supplier to national and regional frameworks, it’s simple to appoint us.

I only wish it was possible to clone AHR’s positive approach to the work.”

Senior Manager for Building Safety, Together Housing Group

Leading the way in sustainable healthy design

Sustainability has remained at the heart of our work this year, with teams across architecture, building consultancy and geomatic consultancy helping clients deliver low-carbon, future-ready and people-centred spaces.

Bringing together cross-sector voices through our decarbonisation roundtables to spark insights into retrofit, materials, energy reduction and circular design, we’ve continued to support clients with estate-wide decarbonisation plans, whole-building retrofit strategies and net-zero roadmaps.

We’ve advanced our retrofit toolkit to provide clear, data-driven guidance and offered building surveying insight through drone surveys, fabric assessments, lifecycle evaluations and compliance advice to inform sustainable investment decisions.
