We're proud to shape sustainable and affordable new homes in Southwark
by AHR
We are delighted to be collaborating with Southwark Council and Wates Group's Residential division to support the delivery of around 350 new affordable homes across the borough.
Comfortable, sustainable and rooted in community, these homes will be delivered across four key sites currently in the early stages of development.
Our goal is to provide a sustainable mix of accommodation types and tenures to meet diverse local needs.
This project forms part of Southwark’s wider programme, which has already delivered or started more than 3,000 council homes. As we increase genuinely affordable housing across the borough, our designs prioritise quality, wellbeing and low-carbon living.
We’re delighted to work with Southwark Council and Wates Group’s Residential division on this exciting residential scheme.
Our approach will bring together homes that feel comfortable to live in, affordable to run and reflective of community needs.”
David de Sousa
Director, London
This is an important milestone for affordable housing in Southwark, and we’re delighted to be involved. Shaping well-connected, comfortable and safe places to live sits at the heart of what we do. Our extensive experience shaping residential projects, from affordable housing through to mixed use regeneration, means we understand what makes neighbourhoods thrive.
Across London and the south, we’ve shaped neighbourhoods people are proud to call home, including:
- Ilford High Road: Delivering 100% affordable, high quality homes, demonstrating our commitment to genuinely accessible housing
- Broad Street Mall: The transformation of a 1970s shopping centre and car park into a vibrant mixed use hub of stylish new homes and community spaces
- St Clare Business Park: Showcasing our expertise in mixed-tenure design, blending desirable apartments and townhouses within sustainable neighbourhoods
- Hertford Gas Works: A tenure-blind approach, providing much-needed homes where design quality is consistent regardless of affordability level
- The Ridgeway: A visionary 120-home regeneration scheme creating desirable, well-connected neighbourhoods that feel rooted in community
We’re excited to bring this residential expertise to Southwark.
