We're delighted to be shortlisted for Architectural Practice of the Year, recognising the continuing role we've played in shaping Wales and beyond.

From our Cardiff city centre office, we’ve spent many years creating spaces where people and communities can thrive. We work across schools, hospitals, community health centres, theatres, heritage buildings and homes, combining national expertise with genuine local knowledge, supporting regeneration and growth right across Wales.

We believe our strength lies in how we work. By blending creativity and design flair with technical depth and commercial awareness, we aim to pair inventive thinking with a very practical approach to delivery. Whether navigating sensitive heritage settings, unlocking challenging sites or balancing sustainability goals, we focus on solutions that are both creative and deliverable.

This shortlist means a great deal to everyone in our team. We care deeply about the communities we work with and the places we help to shape, and this recognition reflects the commitment and creativity our people bring to every project. It's a privilege to be acknowledged alongside so many brilliant practices doing great work across Wales."

Princess Royal Theatre, Port Talbot

With a focus on enhancing the customer experience, we are transforming the Princess Royal Theatre in Port Talbot, which will form a key part of the town centre’s wider regeneration strategy. Improvements will be made to the 798-seat theatre, which will feature an extended gateway entrance leading to a reimagined lobby and bar area, providing an inviting space for both locals and visitors.

Fourteen Locks Visitors Centre, Newport

We're replacing the former canal centre at Fourteen Locks with a high quality, inclusive and sustainable destination, providing local people, volunteers and visitors a place to meet, learn and enjoy the canal. Set at the heart of this historic canalside landscape, the new visitor centre celebrates the character of the waterway.

Cross Hands Community Health & Wellbeing Centre, Carmarthen

With an emphasis on promoting better health in the community, the new Cross Hands Community Health and Wellbeing Centre will form part of the region’s welcome plans to transform and modernise care services in Wales. Willows High School, Cardiff

We took on a technical advisor role to support the Willows High School relocation project, which will completely transform students’ learning experiences and opportunities with a new, prominent location. We led the multi-disciplinary team to develop the design principles for the existing school which will relocate to the former Splott market site near Lewis Road in Cardiff.

Imaginative and pragmatic in equal measure

Our work is ongoing too. At the National Museum Cardiff, we’re leading a multidisciplinary team exploring how this nationally significant building can evolve for the next century. Heritage sensitivity, accessibility, sustainability and future flexibility are all central to that conversation.

We’ve also expanded our regional footprint. In Llanelli, our work on the Market Hall relocation resolves urgent RAAC issues within a wider town regeneration masterplan. We’re also assisting the council in Pembrokeshire with site selection for two new major care campuses.

Beyond individual projects, we hold a design guardian role appointed by the Welsh Government and mentor students at Cardiff University and beyond. Through our place on several major Welsh frameworks, we’ve contributed meaningfully to the regeneration of towns and cities across the country.

People are at the heart of everything we do. We invest in long-term client relationships built on trust and clear communication, taking responsibility for the wider impact of our work. That means helping clients reduce carbon through practical retrofit strategies and hosting knowledge-sharing events with local businesses.

We also support nature recovery by designing in ways that actively improve biodiversity. Biodiversity net gain is a planning requirement ensuring every development leaves the natural environment in a measurably better state.

We’re so pleased with this recognition and look forward to finding out the results in June.  Explore more from our full project portfolio here

Frequently asked questions

The Insider Wales Property Awards celebrates the people, practices and projects driving positive change across Wales's built environment. Organised by Insider Media, the awards recognise outstanding contributions to architecture, development and regeneration. Being shortlisted for Architectural Practice of the Year reflects the quality and impact of our work across Wales.

From schools, hospitals and community health centres to theatres, heritage buildings and homes, we work across a wide range of building types. We lead projects that support local communities, regenerate town centres and bring new life to historic buildings.

Appointed by the Welsh Government, our design guardian role means we help champion high quality, people-centred design across publicly funded projects in Wales. We work alongside government, clients and communities to ensure good design principles are embedded from the very start of a project.

Sustainability shapes every decision we make, from the materials we specify to the way buildings perform long after completion. We help clients reduce both embodied and operational carbon, with a particular focus on retrofitting and reusing existing buildings. We also design with nature in mind, supporting biodiversity net gain wherever we can.
