Willows High School
Cardiff, UK
project overview
A new and improved learning environment that will shape the future of the school
We took on a Technical Advisor role to support The Willows High School relocation project, which will completely transform students’ learning experiences and opportunities with a new, prominent location. We led the multi-disciplinary team to develop the design principles for the existing Willows High School which will relocate to the former Splott market site near Lewis Road in Cardiff.
The school will provide an outstanding learning environment for 900 students, aged 11–16, and a co-located Special Resource Base (SRB) for 30 students within the same age range, catering for their specific learning needs. This inclusive approach ensures that all students, regardless of their abilities or learning challenges, receive the necessary support and resources to thrive academically and socially.
