project overview
Transforming what the future workplace will look and feel like
HEMISPHERE One is a new laboratory and life sciences workspace designed to help people feel healthier, happier and more connected. Alongside flexible workspaces, it will include collaboration spaces, a wellness studio, a cafe and new areas of public realm. The building will within Paddington Village, next to AHR-designed The Spine, the northern home for the Royal College of Physicians (RCP).
A key aspiration for HEMISPHERE One is to shape a place where teams can do their best work, supported by smart design features that encourage creativity and productivity. Biophilic design will run throughout, with a focus on health, social and cultural wellbeing.
In line with the ethos of ‘bringing the inside out’, the building will offer outdoor workspace plus spaces for exercise and relaxation for people working here and the wider community. It will also include an innovation lab and a multi-purpose event space.
HEMISPHERE One's distinctive design and gateway position will help make it a place people will want to visit, while showcasing the Liverpool City Region’s strength in health, life sciences and technology."
