We're pleased to share that plans have been submitted for 248 new homes at Stretford Mall, the next phase of the site's exciting regeneration.

These proposals relate to Plot 2A, which forms one half of the wider proposed Plot 2 masterplan. A second phase, Plot 2B, is expected to come forward at a later date. Together, these plans will help transform part of the existing shopping centre site into a greener, better-connected town centre neighbourhood.

Working with Bruntwood and Trafford Council, plans place a nearly two-acre park at the centre, surrounded by new homes and improved public realm that will help Stretford feel more welcoming and better connected.

Breathing new life into a familiar place

We know Stretford is already a place people care about. Our approach focuses on strengthening that local pride through thoughtful regeneration. We design places that feel comfortable, safe and easy to navigate, with streets and green spaces that support everyday routines.

By bringing more homes into the town centre, the scheme also helps support local businesses and services, creating the conditions for a more active and resilient high street.

This planning submission is a real milestone for Stretford. We have focused on creating a place that feels friendly and green, with homes shaped around a park that people can enjoy every day. It is about giving the town centre new energy, while designing streets and spaces the community can feel proud of."

Frequently asked question

We are leading the architectural design for this phase. We are working with Bruntwood, Trafford Council and the wider team to shape the homes and the overall place.

The plans introduce a significant new green space and more welcoming streets and routes. Together, these changes can support wellbeing, encourage walking and create more opportunities for people to meet and spend time outdoors.

This phase sits within the Stretford Town Centre masterplan, approved in 2023, which will see up to 800 homes delivered on the mall site over time.
