With over 28 years’ experience at the practice, we’re very pleased to introduce David Kelly into his new role as production director of AHR Architects Ltd.

Since joining AHR in 1995, David has taken an interest in, and been given the opportunity to develop and ultimately lead technical best-practice and future needs. From architect to production manager, he has driven many key initiatives ensuring that our working practices remain compliant and of a high quality at all times.

This includes designing and delivering ‘AHR projects’ our bespoke project delivery aspect of our British Standards Institution (BSI) ISO 9001:2015 certified Quality Management System (QMS). David designed the platform to enable us to better plan, control, manage and measure our project inputs and outputs, meeting our client and stakeholder expectations.

As well as ‘AHR projects’, he also drives our sustainability objectives, having developed our BSI ISO 14001 certified environmental management system and our Carbon Reduction Plan, all of which underpins how we manage our impact on the planet.

As production director, David will continue to build on the many production initiatives he has established at AHR.

I’m really excited to be taking on the role of production director for Architecture. The very definition of production is the thing that unites us across AHR. The thrill of ‘creating, inventing, making, assembling and constructing’ is the reason we do what we do. United under the AHR badge, we’re a small army of ‘producers’, who need tools, processes, guidance and support in order to work effectively. To be able to lead on that provision and to help shape AHR’s future at this level is a real privilege.”

David Kelly

Production Director, Architecture

In his new role, he will work with our architectural teams across each office so that they are equipped to deliver best-practice outputs, effectively and compliantly, in an ever-evolving technological and legislative landscape.

David has been essential to the practices’ progress and his promotion is very well-deserved. Instrumental in developing our quality assurance processes which are reflected in the final product, our buildings, often praised for their design and robustness. I’m looking forward to continuing to work together as the practice grows.”
