We're delighted that applications for the 2023 RIBA AHR Scholarship are now open.

The scholarship, worth £6,000, will provide support to Part 2 students from low-income households who have demonstrated a commitment to their studies and to the profession.

Its aim is to address a lack of inclusivity at Part 2 stage of the professional qualification in architecture by supporting talented students who might struggle to cover the costs associated with their course.

Also included in the scholarship is:

  • One to one mentoring
  • A four-week paid work placement at one of our UK offices
  • Support from a diverse and talented team
  • Industry connections
  • Technical resources
  • Valuable insight into our award-winning practice

The selected applicant will be an aspiring architect who is passionate about promoting a more positive future through the built environment. Last year’s winner Reem is no exception to this.

You can learn more about how she is enjoying her experiences so far here.

Leading the RIBA AHR Scholarship is director Gary Overton who is passionate about supporting young people as they embark on their career in the profession.

At the heart of our practice is a belief in a fair and inclusive right to education and inclusivity in the profession. The RIBA AHR Scholarship offers a package of financial support, as well as mentoring, a paid work placement and friendship.”

Gary Overton

The closing date for applications for the 2023 RIBA AHR Scholarship is Friday 19 May 2023.
