CONSIDERING A CAREER IN ARCHITECTURE?

  • We are committed to developing the next generation of creative minds. A number of our colleagues are regular higher education lecturers, and our continuous student placement programme inspires and supports those considering a career in architecture.

Each of our regional offices intakes students throughout the year, providing first-hand experience within the industry, live project exposure and construction site visits. Students are provided with a mentor, who has been carefully selected through a thorough process.

We also work with higher education establishments to provide trainee architects with placements in our practice. Our mentors work directly with individual students to set a flexible programme to include set sessions (covering topics such as an introduction to architecture, CV writing and how to develop a unique portfolio) as well as more informal sessions that are driven by the student and any additional support they might require throughout their course.

    RIBA Stephen William scholarship
We are proud to support those considering a career in architecture and through the RIBA AHR Stephen Williams Scholarship we provide financial and professional support to one postgraduate architect student per year. Gary Overton, director of our Bristol office, is a leading judge on the panel and personally provides mentoring to the scholarship recipient.

    Apprenticeships
Providing an alternative route to higher education professional training, our apprentice scheme offers a more vocational path into the industry, in addition to attracting a more diverse workforce.
