Our experience in masterplanning, refurbishing and remodelling helps us develop successful Zero Carbon decarbonisation strategies.
Designing, delivering, refurbishing and maintaining projects across estates gives us unique insight into these environments.
We are using this experience to advance what can be realised with the decarbonisation of Public Sector estates.
Utilising our expertise across architecture, masterplanning and building consultancy, we advise on strategies that include small scale interventions to the repurposing of facilities to deliver a sustainable, zero carbon future.
We are helping the universities to analyse their estates and look at how they can implement steps to reduce carbon emissions, whilst creating a more efficient and higher performing estate.
We utilise innovative technologies such as thermal scanning, digital twins and cloud surveys of the estate, to enable us to identify key areas for improvement to achieve radical improvements in carbon usage.
This includes areas such as heating and recladding, where through targeted interventions, we can replace, upgrade or adapt the fabric of a building to help the university reach their target carbon reductions.
Utilising our depth of experience in masterplanning, as well as the refurbishment and remodelling of education buildings, we also maximise the opportunities to help the educational institutions meet the demands of a variety of teaching and learning styles through curriculum and technology.
The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) has launched £1bn of public sector funding to encourage green investment and support clean growth goals.
With a decarbonisation strategy in place, we are helping the universities access funding through the Salix Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme and Low Carbon Skills Fund to achieve their goals of a Net Zero Carbon future.
Our work with universities to develop their ongoing decarbonisation masterplan assesses the current estate's performance and identifies a strategy through the shortlisting and prioritisation of projects and fabric first measures, to help access grants and funding streams.
Our expertise in BIM modelling improves our analysis and thermal modelling, creating a digital estate to reconfigure and develop the existing buildings to reach Net Zero targets.
We’re pleased to be currently working with the University of the West of England and Exeter University with strategies and a roadmap for their decarbonisation masterplans.
We can help more universities access this funding too.
