AHR have enjoyed a long and successful relationship with the Writhlington Business and Enterprise School in Radstock, North East Somerset. Initially appointed to design and deliver a replacement main school in 2006 the team went on to develop and refine a working Campus masterplan incorporating the new school, a 14-19 applied learning centre, enhanced tennis facilities, New Orchid propagation greenhouses, a refurbished community learning centre and a new site maintenance managers house.
These projects ranging from £22 Million to £120,000 in value have demonstrated our ability to deliver projects with a variety of values and complexity on a site with difficult planning constraints.
The practice led a multi-disciplinary team under the management of the authorities project manager. Our scope of service included developing a design to planning approval stage and subsequently delivering tender documentation for the selection of a contractor team.
“WE LOVE OUR BUILDING. IT FLOWS WELL, IS EASY TO NAVIGATE AND HAS A GOOD BALANCE OF LARGE OPEN AND TRADITIONAL SPACES. IT IS VERY FLEXIBLE AND ADAPTS ITSELF TO WHATEVER WE ARE DOING...WE HAVE THE RIGHT SPACE FOR EVERYTHING.“
Chris Hobbs, Business Manager, Writhlington School
