  • Upton Village, on the former Plaistow Hospital site, has won Best Development in Affordable Housing at the London Evening Standard New Homes Awards 2017.

The ceremony was held at The Dorchester in Mayfair, with the awards embracing a spectrum of homes, from first-time buyer flats to one-off luxurious mansions; city centre high-rise developments to countryside conversions, and from boutique apartment projects to large-scale regeneration schemes.

The Affordable Housing category in particular looked at the shared ownership of the project, as well as judging the architectural excellence, regeneration and eco-design.

The full list of award winners can be found here.

This adds to a number of recent award successes for Upton Village, including winning the ‘Most Innovative Affordable Housing Scheme’ award at the Housing Innovation Awards 2017, plus being shortlisted in the Housing Design Awards 2017 and the ‘Best New Places to Live’ category at the London Planning Awards 2017.
