Tom joined AHR’s Bristol team in 2019 as a Regional Director. He is a Chartered Building Surveyor and Member of the Association of Project Management.
Tom provides project management expertise, having been involved in a diverse and varied range of new build, conversion and refurbishment projects, across public and private sectors including Education, Offices, Retail, Housing, Custodial facilities, Leisure and Healthcare. More recently Tom has specialised in Higher Education sector projects, working with several leading universities since 2012, on a range of projects. Tom is also a named person on the National Lottery Heritage Fund ROSS Consultant framework, to provide specialist construction project management support, advice and monitoring to the Heritage Fund and grantees on heritage projects.
As a project manager, Tom has experience implementing many initiatives promoted by the Government Construction Strategy. He manages projects through the application of structured processes, mitigating risks, controlling change in-flight and tracking progress. Tom can apply methodologies informed by leading industry models such as Lean, Prince2, Critical Chain, and also best practice initiatives such as soft landings. Whilst competence and qualification are pre-requisite, Tom is also acutely aware that relationships and attitude are critical to success, and leads by example, promoting a proactive and collaborative approach.
