SAMANTHA SMITH SHORTLISTED FOR FEMALE LEADERSHIP AWARD

  • Director, Samantha Smith has been shortlisted for The Female Leadership Award at this years Building Awards 2018.

    The Building Awards are the industry’s longest running and most prestigious recognition of excellence, allowing companies across all aspects of building to have their achievements held up as an example to the sector.

    The Female Leadership Awards recognises the stand out achievements of women working in construction in a leadership role, in any of the industry’s disciplines, who has made a significant contribution to her organisation and to the interests of women in the sector.

    Samantha holds responsibility for several key areas throughout the practice, undertaking numerous roles in building surveying, project management, strategic representation, finance and procurement, with her achievements within AHR spanning 29 years. As Building Consultancy’s Transport sector lead, Samantha drives the development of this sector, holding top strategic positions on significant projects, particularly within the rail sector.

    Samantha has dedicated much of her time to developing people and supporting women in construction, through roles involving mentorship, leading workshops at schools and academies, volunteering as an Assessor for RICS and helping to increase the participation of women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) careers.
