AHR OUR PEOPLE

IMRAN KASSIM

DIRECTOR

  • "WHAT GETS ME OUT OF BED EVERY MORNING IS WORKING WITH VERY CLEVER PEOPLE AT AHR AND THE UNRELENTING FOCUS WE HAVE ON DELIVERING EXCELLENT SERVICE TO OUR CLIENTS."

  • Imran is a Director and Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) Lead at AHR having joined the Practice in 2001 after graduating from the Manchester School of Architecture.

Imran has been paramount in directing AHR’s offerings at the forefront of MMC design and leads the delivery projects across the practice, in a number of sectors including education, health, residential and civic. A thought leader on the topic, Imran is an expert not only in the efficiency of design that MMC lends itself to but also the nuances of production processes and technological requirements of an MMC project. His extensive experience means that he can positively influence our future modular designs at greater speed with fewer defects and reduced costs for our clients and that he has an in-depth understanding of the commercial and deliverability constraints that the utilisation of MMC may present.

Imran also has an extensive education portfolio and accrued specialist experience in the education sector for over 20 years, having been involved in priority school, BSF, academy and PFI build programmes.  He has an in-depth knowledge of education delivery and the requirements of the built environment to meet the needs of practitioners and students alike and has worked on all project types from nursery and pre-school through mainstream education and tertiary level projects. As well as mainstream education, Imran has acted as lead consultant on SEN and campus co-location projects where his considerable stakeholder management skills were key to a successful project delivery.

Through delivering an extensive portfolio of large-scale education projects Imran has developed a strategic understanding of brief making and procurement, which has led me to work in roles advising both client groups and bidding consortia.

He has also led projects specifically relating to city centre commercial sites, historic buildings and leisure facilities.
