  • To manage and lead the IT service desk team to deliver high quality end-user support. You will be responsible for the service request, knowledge, problem and change-management processes, and ensure these processes are maintained, reviewed, and being used effectively by the service desk and the wider team.

    Other responsibilities include:

    • Manage a small team of 1st and 2nd line support staff and their workload.

    • Set the standard and lead from the front by providing the highest level of service to our Directors and internal staff

    • Develop, maintain and drive the use of ITIL best practices across the Service Desk Team to ensure the delivery of a best practice service desk function

    Essential skills and experience:

    • Experience leading or managing a Service Desk Team

    • Excellent communication and people-management skills

    • An understanding of ITIL processes

    • Understanding of SLA’s

    • Knowledge of service desk management tools

    • Proven problem-solving skills, proven planning, decision-making and organisational skills.

    • Good knowledge of general IT services & Infrastructure, ie:

    • Windows Server 2008/ 2012 / 2016

    • Microsoft Exchange / Office 365

    • Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS

    • File and directory permissions

    • Network Printing

    • Networking Concepts (Routing, Switching, Firewalls)

    • IT Security & Data Protections

    • SAN/ NAS

    • Virtualisation (VMWare)

    • Able to drive and possesses a clean driving license

    • Must be willing to work overtime and weekends if required
