Our initial instruction involved working with the academic leaders to develop the property element of a Wellcome-Wolfson bid for the extension of the hyperpolarisation research facility. The bid was successful and AHR was subsequently appointed to design, develop and administer the building contract for the construction of this state of the art science facility.
The Centre for Hyperpolarisation in MRI (CHyM), is now a multi-disciplinary centre of the Chemistry, Psychology and Biology departments, and has been created to take forward this leading-edge research. CHyM’s principal objective will be to propel the technological developments in hyperpolarisation through to clinical practice and disease management.
The works carried out were phased for minimal disturbance to visitors and staff.
