AHR’s architecture, interior design and landscape design teams collaborated on refurbishing the 52,000 ft2 office building to improve the internal and external workplace. A new front entrance and reception area enhances the arrival experience, with the reconfiguration of the floorplates increasing the office’s occupancy to 1:8.
The new reception area includes a large, slatted timber wall behind the reception desk, as well as a dynamic balustrade that creates a sculptural feature visible upon arrival.
The landscape design takes full advantage of the building’s prominent position within the park. This includes the creation of a striking new entrance plaza, courtyard garden with a series of ‘garden rooms’, as well as a nature walk around a pond to offer a space for ‘walking meetings’.You can also visit the scheme website for further information on 01 Blythe Gate.
The office space has outstanding transport links and on-site amenities and is surrounded by stunning parkland which will enhance occupier wellbeing.
The light and airy reception area is clearly visible and complements the architecture, with full views through the main central area to the outdoor space.
