Services range from measured and condition surveys, through to resident consultation, masterplanning, design, specification, Geomatics, procurement and contract administration. Our work includes a £20 million per annum Capital Works Programme and a £6m programme of Independent Living Schemes (ILS).
At the Independent Living Schemes in Castleford, we successfully delivered feasibility studies for the complete refurbishment and extension of WDH’s Carlton Court and Springfield sites. The study included topographical, measured building, condition and M&E condition surveys, as well as various surveys from our Geomatics department, who delivered both Scan to BIM and Utility Mapping input.
Following the delivery of the surveys, the completed works have delivered new layouts to both premises to allow for the common areas and the apartments to be adapted for wheelchair use at a later date by providing alternative kitchen facilities. Special attention was paid to ensure that the design was dementia friendly and that it would both support and assist residents living with the condition to live as independently as possible.
The scheme achieved all principal aims set out and was delivered to the full satisfaction of both the client and the residents.
