FILM CITY

  • A COMPLEX PROJECT REQUIRING THE EXTENSIVE REMODELLING OF THE INTERIOR AND IMPROVEMENT TO THE EXISTING FABRIC OF THE CATEGORY A-LISTED FORMER GOVAN TOWN HALL TO FORM A FULLY EQUIPPED CENTRE FOR FILM-MAKING INCLUDING PRE- AND POST- PRODUCTION FACILITIES TO INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS.
  • Funded by the City Council, Scottish Enterprise Glasgow and ERDF, the project forms a key component of the Pacific Quay Digital Media Campus a strategic regeneration initiative.

The regeneration project, includes the first Dolby Surround Sound© production suite outside of London. The acoustic requirements for this suite are technically very stringent demanding isolated “box in box” construction technique and extensive full spectrum absorption. Other facilities include live music rooms, a foley studio, film edit facilities, production space, pre-production offices, catering facilities and break-out café with access to a sheltered courtyard at the heart of the building.
