Construction work has now begun on our batch of 12 schools in the North East.
Following the successful bid with Miller Construction (now Galliford Try) back in May 2014, AHR have successfully achieved planning approval and helped to achieve financial close, in March 2015, for all 12 schools in the North East Priority Schools Building Programme.
The six Secondary and six Primary schools are spread over Durham, Gateshead, Northumberland, North Tyneside, Redcar and Cleveland, Stockton-on-Tees and Sunderland.
The scheme is worth around £100m and with a build area of around 60,000m2 it is a proud moment for all involved to see the steel structures starting to take shape. All schools in this scheme are due to complete during 2016.
