We are the first architecture led practice to be verified by BSI to deliver construction projects at BIM Level 2 for Design & Construction.
This verification, which took place during the course of March 2016, covers all aspects of the business, including Architecture, Building Surveying, Geomatics and Landscape Design.
This achievement ties neatly in with the UK Government mandate that all centrally funded building and infrastructure projects in the UK are required to use Level 2 BIM. We are now able to offer assurance when tendering for work that it is able to deliver this requirement.
Our BIM Manager, Joe Stott has spoken to CIOB's BIM+ about this achievement.
Andy Butterfield, Global Head of Construction, Product Certification at BSI said:
“It’s great to see that AHR is committed to being compliant with the requirements for PAS 1192-2 covering Design and Construction for Level 2 BIM and that the scheme is continuing to gather momentum. Our certification has been developed in collaboration with industry stakeholders to ensure that it adds value and addresses the key issues which will help the construction industry with BIM implementation.”
Bryan Hamilton, Director at AHR, said:
“Having been early adopters of BIM, AHR has sought to remain at the forefront of developing BIM practices and, as the first architecture led practice to receive BSI verification, our clients and collaborators can be confident that our working methods have been independently and rigorously assessed.”
