Alan studied Architecture at Heriot Watt University and Edinburgh College of Art Department of Architecture, where he was awarded the Andrew Grant Travelling Scholarship in 1984 and qualified in 1987. Alan joined the London office in 1988.
Alan has more than 20 years of experience in a wide variety of building types for both public and private sector clients and is familiar with contract types ranging from traditional JCT to Partnering and Design and Build contracts. His experience spans both new developments and refurbishments, with a particular emphasis on regeneration.
He contributes knowledge across a broad range of sectors including Residential, Health, Education, Transport, Hospitality, Hotels, Retail, Commercial and Financial, where he has been pivotal in the successful delivery of a range of refurbishment projects and new developments.
